Pat Carrigan is the Co-Captain of the Brisbane Broncos and is rapidly establishing himself as one of the most influential players in rugby league and leading personalities in Australian sport.
Born and raised in Brisbane, Pat’s journey to Broncos Co-Captaincy has included extreme highs and extreme adversity. He overcame a season-ending injury in 2021, his rookie season, to make his debut for the Queensland Maroons in the State of Origin series the following year. Queensland won, and Pat won the Wally Lewis Medal as the player of the series.
Pat has established himself as a leading player for the Broncos, approaching his 100th appearance, and is a key leader in both the QLD Maroons and Australian Kangaroos representative sides. Leading by example in his preferred position of lock, Pat is determined to lead the Brisbane Broncos to their next premiership. Pat is an honours physiotherapy student at the University of Queensland. Beyond personal ambassadorships, business interests, and creative pursuits, Pat supports several community initiatives close to his heart, including OrangeSky.
